Day 2: Hot potato

"Such a nice day. Why don't you 3 boys go out to the beach? Leave me alone, I wanna bludge at the hotel with my novel." I announced in the morning, after another night of little sleep.

For the next half an hour, Tonton tried to persuade me to go to the beach together, in vain.

"According to traditions, men should work outdoors, and women should stay indoors, ie. the hotel. So you guys please go and have fun. Yes, the 3 of you."

Tonton finally agreed to go and leave me in peace, on the condition that he'd only take EggEgg but not the baby.

"Here! I've put the baby in the stroller for you. Please take him."

Sneakily, Tonton tried to dash out of the hotel door with EggEgg and the bag of beach toys. I'm too quick for them. I manage to wheel the stroller-cum-baby outside, just in time. We had tug-of-war at the door, each trying to shove the stroller back the other way.

EggEgg is puzzled and doesn't understand why Mami & Daddy are pushing each other, in jest, using EggEgg as a door stopper. He bellowed, "Mami?! Mami?! Mami?!"

In the end, Tonton snatched EggEgg and fled down the corridor towards the lift. I slammed the door and went back to the hotel room with my novel.

And the baby in the stroller?
Still in the lonely corridor, deserted. Cola stared at the blank door, looking forlorn. He let out a little sob. No response.
I was secretly checking on him through the peep hole in the door, knowing that Tonton will come back for the baby.
As for Tonton, he was also secretly checking on Cola from the end of the corridor, hiding just around the corner. Somehow he managed to suppress EggEgg's yelling, and he's waiting for me to come back for the baby.

After 5 minutes, Cola became miserable. Waaaaaah!
Guess who claimed the baby in the end? Is it...
A. The loving mum, or
B. The cruel heartless dad, or
C. The hotel lost & found department?

Cola is peacefully sleeping in my lap as I write this.

This is too funny!! Men never like to take their kids out alone. What's up with that?!
