This is the fourth plane ride for EggEgg, the first for Cola.
EggEgg did not want to miss a moment of action at all. He was sleepless in the car on the way to the airport, inside the terminal, on the plane, on the bus all the way through to the Surfers Paradise hotel. So is Cola, who is smiling and beaming to all passengers around him. It's been a great pleasure to take Cola around, he hardly fusses, sleeps whenever, whereever without a struggle.
Inside the airport terminal, EggEgg paused at every window to peep out: there's the luggage towing carts... there's the petrol filling tanker... and there's the awesome silver color plane itself.
On the plane, EggEgg is busy examining the emergency procedure sheet. He pointed at each figure in brace position, "Nana. Mami. Baybee. Baba." His hands waving in the air, wheeee. Then a rough landing with an "uh-oh". (Tonton must be thinking: choy!)
Just like I used to when I was a kid, EggEgg is fascinated with the tray table, opening and closing it regularly, much to the annoyance of the passenger in front. He is also very particular about fastening his seat belt, strictly following the green seat belt signs.
The bus ride was another new experience for EggEgg too. A plane and a bus ride in a day! What could be better than this?
Evening:
EggEgg is further intoxicated by the Dreamworld brochure we picked up at the hotel. It has pictures of Wiggles World, Tiger World, Spongebob stage, ball pits... a hint of what's to come. We had to read and re-read before finally going to bed.
Les enfants seuls écrasent leur nez contre les vitres.
Les enfants seuls savent ce qu’ils cherchent, fit le petit prince.
"Only the children are flattening their noses against the windowpanes."
"Only the children know what they are looking for," said the little prince.
(The Little Prince. Antoine de Saint Exupéry)
