Progression from Um!/Huh? to Yes/No

I had been bringing EggEgg to the park regularly to practice on his new scooter. On the way home, we had one of our regular *ahem* meaningful conversations:

"Did you enjoy riding your scooter?" -Um
"Please talk properly. What do you mean by Um?" -意! (like)
"Did you enjoy running around with me?" -意!

And to test if this 意 is merely his default answer, I switched to another question:
"Do you like crocodiles?" -唔! (Not like)
"Do you like cows?" -唔!
"Do you like horses?" -唔!
"I thought you like horses? What about dogs?" -唔!

"Hey, you dislike everything. Well then, what is the one thing that you like?" -Mami!

(Hohoho... I bet Tonton will be jealous if it tell him about this.)
