Origin: 乜野
Date of first discovery by Dr Egg: June, 2009
Definition:
A handy replacement of all the interrogating pronouns, substituting What, Where, Why. It is perfectly interchangeable with all the 3 pronouns above.
Example:
乜? What is this?
乜? What's for dinner?
乜? Where are we going?
乜? Are we there yet?
Usage Notes:
A random firing of 乜? 乜? 乜? 乜? will immensely annoy the parents in the front car seat who are busy trying to read the map, drive safely and entertain the kids at the same time. To stop the never-ending series of 乜? 乜? 乜? 乜? the correct response is, "I've told you a million times already. We're not there yet! Don't you dare ask me again."
