Under the pretext of our heavy flu, we've shipped EggEgg away to the grandparents for a couple of days so that Cola and I could take time to mend. Little did I expect myself to enjoy this time so much.
This is the first time in 8 months, that Cola and I are spending quality one-on-one time with each other. No more Big Bro to intrude on every occasion, at times to our delight, and at times to our annoyance.
Before EggEgg, I thought Tonton and my mum would always be No.1 in my life. Then comes EggEgg, and I wasn't quite sure if I could really love another baby just as much as my firstborn.
The general problem with second children: they get terribly neglected. Big Bro can make us laugh and make us cry at the same time, whereas the baby just lie there, unable to make an impression.
Baby Cola had to work so hard to win our love. He has to be cuter, sweeter, more lovable in order for us to notice him. By around 3 months old, he won my heart over. Now, I don't sound too convincing when I tell my friends, "I love both my kids equally." I think, deep down, I love Cola better. Shhh... let's not let EggEgg find out.
Tonton started noticing Cola around 2 months ago, and began to enjoy him as an individual. (Unfortunately, the grandparents are still obsessed with EggEgg that they hardly noticed sweet little Cola. They rarely hold him or play with him. Well, nevermind, more quality time for me!)
