"Excuse me, that's my chocolate pecan cookie!"
Cola is very quick in snatching food from my hands. Each time I pick up something that looks round, crispy or yummy, he's sure to wrestle it away from me. I've lost numerous prawn crackers, cookies, wafers, and biscuits to him this way. It doesn't matter if he's already got a piece in his other hand, he wants the bigger piece. You greedy little fella!
He's also learnt the concept of Boredom. That, unfortunately, spells the end of my sleep-in mornings, because he is no longer contented to be cooing happily next to my pillow. These days, Cola would be trying to gorge my sleepy eyes out with his chubby yet powerful claws. (Yes, claws! In case I forget to clip those nails once every couple of days.) He would also punch my nose with his fists, and kick my brains out with his powerful feet. Okay, okay, I'm waking up to play with you. Please don't hurt me anymore, I beg you.
Cola's interest in toys has rise to a new level, and the TV remote control has become his favourite distraction. (Mystery for scientists to solve: Why are all babies so attracted to the silver-grey-black remote control thingy?) He gets bored pretty soon and needs to be constantly distracted. So ends my days of holding him in my lap while typing away on the keyboard, or leisurely enjoying gourmet dinners prepared lovingly by Tonton.
Oh Cola, my sweet little boy has grown up too quickly!
