識時務者為俊傑 Whoever understands the times is a great man

Cola is refusing to eat again. As soon as I put him into the high chair, he'd start screaming, kicking me furiously, and banging his head onto the hard plastic. With every spoonful, I had to dangle it in front of his mouth, waiting for him to graciously open his mouth. Sometimes Cola even flapped his hands and send the entire spoonful, food and all, splat down on the floor. I'm so weary of this daily battle, the screaming and the mopping, the kicking and the cleaning, and decide that to do something about it.

So I drew the curtains. And forced Cola to eat. (Details not to be discussed here in case somebody might report me to the DOCS. The other day, a woman went on national TV, accused of hitting her child with a wooden spoon. These are strange times, this so called modern, politically-correct era.)

Anyway, I reminded EggEgg to hurry up and finish his food, otherwise he might end up like his little brother. EggEgg finished his portion in record time and announced proudly,
"哪哪食完! EggEgg has finished eating!
哪哪乖! EggEgg is a good boy!
哪哪Goo! EggEgg goes to nap!"
So he climbed out of his chair and disappeared into the bed room, taking a voluntary afternoon nap.

That night, I recounted this interesting story to Tonton. He looked at EggEgg and remarked, "果然識時務者! You certainly understand the times."
