"Oh it's so easy for you to train him. You've got wooden floorboards at home which is easy to clean...", there goes one of my friends who has a 2yo of her own.
Maybe I should repeat my neighbour's words to her?
"Of course, of course. I enjoy toilet training EggEgg so much because I'm so free at home."
Now don't get me started...
****************************************************
The week before, EggEgg has been progressing well, able to hold his bladder for about 2 hours each. Today, it's not even lunch hour, and EggEgg has 4 accidents already (that's about 1 accident per hour) FOUR times!!
Each time, I have to put down Cola, change EggEgg clothes, mop and clean the floor, with Cola crying loudly in the background. By the 4th time this "accident" happened, I've run out of patience. I do not believe that this is any accident. (In the movie Ku Fu Panda, Master Wu Quay puts it elegantly, "There are no accidents...")
EggEgg's merely too disinterested/lazy in using the potty, so he deserved a time-out in his room. And guess what? After the time out period, there's another puddle on the floor. *Sigh*

Smart Idea with the bell! But my stubborn boy goes to the potty whenever he feels like it, not that he doesn't know how to! Grr..
Congrats on the potty-training. We haven’t really started with Nina, but we might try this summer when she is home from Kindergarten for some weeks and when she hopefully can run around without too many layers of clothes to wash. In the winter it is almost unthinkable to do potty training. OK, take of the winter suit, then the thick woollen tights, then the thin tights, then the undies, and then...just to find out the kid of course can’t wait that long :-)
