Japan Day 2: A taste of what's to come

In Japan, it seems like every 500 meters or so, there is strategically placed vending machine waiting to ensnare us with its terribly attractive juice collection.

"Daddy, I'm thirsty." (But you've just had a drink!)
"I'm hungry." (Didn't we just had breakfast?)
"I need to go to toilet." (I offered you the chance just now and you said no?!)
"I'm tired." (This is like only 10 am in the morning!)

... then after 500 meters, upon seeing the next set of vending machine on the street, the whinging cycle goes back to the beginning... "Daddy, I'm thirsty."

Another discovery: I'm surprised with the amount of nagging I could do on repeat mode.
"Hey you two, stop fighting."
"Hey you, will you stop crying."
"Hey, don't touch that."
"Hey, hurry up and walk faster."
... and back to, "Hey you two, stop fighting."

Perhaps I should make an iPhone app that can repeat these lines on speaker phone mode. Then, I'd be making good money.

To compound the logistics problem, Cola insisted on walking on his two short legs instead of riding on the stroller. So we are covering distance at an amazing speed of about 500 mph (meters per hour). A short path into the temple takes 3 hours to cover. A block of shopping strip takes up an entire afternoon of 5 hours.

Is this what the rest of the trip is gonna be like? Heaven help us!
