We are going to Japan tomorrow.

It is obvious that EggEgg enjoyed his Japan holiday a lot, and just like the previous holiday to Gold Coast, he has not stopped talking about it since.

EggEgg (with firm belief): "We are going to Japan again tomorrow!"
Me: "What are you planning to do in Japan?"
EggEgg: "We are going to Disneyland and Toy Kingdom."
Me: "Huh? Really? Have you bought the tickets?"
EggEgg: "Daddy will buy tickets. We must pack the luggage today."

After repeated conversations like this, I realised that I have a duty to bring him back to the brutal reality Pulling him aside, I told him honestly:
"You see, holidays are expensive. We need to pay a lot of money for the air ticket, for staying in hotels, for buying food and drinks. We don't have the money to go Japan everyday. Do you know where money comes from?"
EggEgg: "Dunno."
Me: "Daddy need to work and then he will get money. And we need to save up money. When we have enough, we can go Japan again."
EggEgg nodded in comprehension and never mentioned about going to Japan tomorrow again.

2 days later when his grandpa tease him, "Was Japan fun? Do you want to go to Japan again?"
EggEgg remembered our conversation and lectured, "No, Daddy need to work and save up some money first."

Have I destroyed his childhood innocence? Is this akin to telling a child that Santa doesn't exist? Oh, what have I done, what have I done!
