EggEgg the ever helpful one (part 2)

Well, all parents are proud of their own kids.  And how can I not be proud of this one? When he's good, he's really really good!

When I wash the dishes, EggEgg pulls up a chair next to me and insist on helping me stack the dishes, balancing the plates precariously on the stacker. He even ask me to hurry up coz he's waiting for the next dish to stack!  When there are no more dishes and I'm washing the pots & pans, EggEgg toddles off to play with the tin cans from the cupboard. He even put them away neatly in the drawing after playing with them.

When I take out the garbage to the large bin in the garden, EggEgg hurries and drags the recycle box behind me, insisting that he carries it all by himself to the garden bin too.  His hands are barely wide enough to hold the recycle box.

When its potty time, EggEgg insist that he should be the one who opens the bin and dispose of his old nappy.  He even picks up the dirty potty wanting to clean the poo and the urine himself! (I had to wrestle it from him while preventing the yucky contents from spilling.)

When it's breakfast time, EggEgg opens the kitchen drawer to take his own bowls, spoon and straw.  He climbs on to the high chair on his own.  Sometimes he reminds me that I forgot to put a bib on him.  After the meal, he even puts back the cereals into the pantry.

When snack time is over, EggEgg pulls a piece of tissue to wipe his mouth, and drags a chair to the toilet so that he can wash his hands by himself: the complete process from turning on the tap, soaping his hands, wiping on the towel.  Wow.

When i need to do the laundry, EggEgg drags the laundry basket to the washing machine.  He stands on a stool and transfer the clothes from the basket to the machine.  When the clothes are being hung in the garden clothes line, he's too short to help.  Rather, he started picking up the fallen leaves on the lawn and putting it into the garbage bin.  Sometimes, he would even sweep the leaves off the car port with a broom too.

EggEgg takes good care of his toys and carefully turn the pages of his books. (His stuff still looks new to this day). He lines up his shoes in the shoe shelf, wipes the floor if he spills liquid, entertains himself when I am busy with housework, shares food and toys with his buddies, treats his little brother well.

In the supermarket, EggEgg tries to carry the shopping basket, which is heavier than he could handle.  Today, in the queue, I overheard this compliment, "What a clever little boy!"  My heart overflows with pride for my little EggEgg.
