* As he wakes up, this book is his breakfast menu. He would browse through the food items in the book and indicate to me which item he'd like for breakfast.
* As he sits on his potty, this becomes his travel guide. He would decide where he'd like to go sight-seeing for the day.
Duck=let's go to feed the ducks at the pond today!
Motorcycles=let's check out the cars on the streets!
Cat=let's look for the neighbor's cat and pick up the post!
Beach=let's play in the sand pit today!
* During his playtime, this book is his talking dictionary. He would point to an object to learn the name and demand further explanation. So far, EggEgg had already memorized and could distinguish the pictures for: Ambulance vs Fire-engine, Airplane vs Helicopter, Truck vs Cement mixer vs Tractor, Coach vs School bus... Boys are indeed hard-wired in the brain to love cars.
***************
This morning, EggEgg has repeatedly pointed to the picture of the Motorcycle in the book. Okay, after breakfast I promised to take him out to the bus stop on the main street to enjoy the scene. Funnily enough, he strongly insisted on carrying the book along with him. On the way out through the garden, we saw some ants and bees. Immediately he was busy flipping through the pages in the book to check for their references. Heehee...
EggEgg hand-signed by repeatedly pointing to my legs (his sign language meaning "Will ants bite Mami?"). I told him ants sometimes bite, and he should be careful when sitting in the grass. The cute little fella started stomping on the ants to get rid of them.
As we reached the bus stop, he was absolutely thrilled with the number of vehicles on the road. Within 15 minutes, we saw a dozen buses, a dozen trucks, 1 cement mixer, and 5 motorcycles going past. Each time a motorcycle passed by, he would flip back to the page of the Motorcycle to remind me that "It's a Motorcycle, Mami!".
EggEgg is so facintated that he refused to leave. I guess I'll have to take him back to the bus stop again tomorrow, and probably every other day from now on...
