I wanted to be a man. But now, no more.

When I was a little girl, I used to loathe being a girl. Well, boys seemed to have so much more fun and freedom! They could go anywhere they like, do naughty things and get away with it. I was raised to be a "responsible Big Sister, to take care of my little bro and sis, and to stay away from all risky activities."

I once bought up this subject with my mum, and she thinks I'm crazy wanting to be a man. (Perhaps she reads too many trashy magazines on trans-sexual operations and such?) My little sister even secretly harbors the notion that I'm a lesbian.

When I was in uni, my favorite motto was, "Anything that boys do, girls can do better!" I chose to studying Electrical Engineering, where the ratio of girls to boys was 1:10, as an indirect challenge to my mum's traditional ideas.

All that changed after I become a mother. These days, I think being a female is just wonderful. I'm the activity center of the household, the emotional thermometer, the piece of pie that everyone wants a bite. EggEgg wants happy Mami. Tonton wants happy Mami. The slices of life just falls perfectly in place.
