3 days of gratefulness

2/9/2016
On friday night over dinner, Bobo announced, "I am Yan Bo. I am not Bobo."
"What do you mean?"
"Bobo means here (pointing to groin), but I am not this. I am a person. So I am Yan Bo, not Bobo."
Roaring with laughter, I asked for further clarifications, "So how many Yan Bo are there in the house?"
"One. Here. (Point to his fat face)."
"How many Bobo are there in this house?"
"Six. Ladder, Me, Koko, Egg, Mami, Daddy"
"What? Even I have a Bobo? I am a girl!!"

I'm glad that although we banned the ipad, the 4 kids were able to play together the whole day without a quarrel or trouble. Together they invented the paper-version of Pokemon Go which incorporrated a finger-activated GPS and a real-person mode of exercising.  Egg is the brain behind the concept, and Cola does the artwork.

After the hectic month, I am grateful that I could slow down for the first time in weeks.  The house is quiet, the kids are playing Pokemon Go invention by themselves.
"Shall I wash the dish or do some garden weeding?" I pondered out loud.
Tonton said while busy with his Plant-vs-Zombie on his ipad, "Why won't you just relax and enjoy your free time?"
I ended up stare my knees, fascinated by the afternoon sunlight casting playful shadows, ever changing.  It was a good self-reflection and mindfulness moment.

It's Tonton's turn to have a headache about dinner. "You are so lucky, you never have to think about dinner. What do you want to eat tonight?"
"Paper wrapped chicken!" I replied playfully.
Tonton is not pleased with this unrealistic answer. He asked Egg who happens to be passing by, "What do you want to eat tonight?"
"Tofu steam dried prawns!" That's the refrain from a children song.
Tonton shook his head.
"What do you want to eat la?" He asked the 3yo Ladder.
"Hmm... eat la."
"Tonight want do you want to eat ah?"
"Hmm... maybe chicken."
Tonton laughed. "Maybe chicken, maybe chicken. You answer everyday is Maybe Chicken!"
That night, we ended up having chicken satay. Thank you Master Chef!

I am disappointed to find Egg not having the courage to admit something he has done wrong. I found a broken USB cable which is clearly his doing.  (He regularly forced connections without observing carefully, breaking boxes and equipment regularly, his microexpressions and explanations shows that he is lying again, and he has an obsession with charging gadgets and batteries).  I am waiting for him to come around and admit it, how long will it take?

I am glad that Bobo is such a caring little boy.  Bobo made breakfast for me while I handle the piles of dishes and endless row of cups to wash. He knew I like my toast "double-toasted" (ie. toasted twice). He even took out a green mug and my green tea, sugar and white choc for me to make my regular morning green tea latte.
"Do you want the toast on a large plate or small plate, Mami?"
