I thank God for blessing me with another luxury recently: Sleep.
Lately, I am able to sleep more.
No longer needing to tell myself to wake up every 3 hours to check on a sick feverish child.
No longer being woken up in the middle of the night by a crying baby, or a toddler with nightmares.
No longer sleeping out of complete physical exhaustion.
No longer struggling to staying up late to catch up on work that I have not finished during the day, or a assignment due tomorrow.
No longer worrying if I have completed my piano practice or not.
Lately, I get to sleep early out of choice.
And I get to wake up in the morning feeling refreshed, hearing the sound of the children, or having Ladder climbing in to my bed (before long he will be going off to play without visiting me).
Or sometimes so early that I get to make a quiet cup of morning tea.
Thank you God for this blessing.
