The last summer before I step into this thing called Motherhood

I remember fondly about the summer 5 years ago, back home in Jakarta. Those were my last holidays as a carefree individual. Single. Child free. No responsibility to care for somebody 24/7. I could do whatever I wanted.  I read voraciously, indiscriminately. Comics, novels, newspapers, technical books. I even held a boardgame tournament with my sister and cousins. I had devised a complete scoring system and even printed out earnest "certificates" to winners. There were long meals in restaurants. Loud story telling, long chats with my brothers and sisters into the night.

But I was mindful that it would  be my last, final carefree summer before I become a mother.
