Tomorrow is EggEgg's first day of kindergarten. A step into structured life for the next 16 years. He wasn't aware of the significance of the transition, but I was determined to make this final carefree days memorable for him. We went on a long holiday, had 2 bowling parties and 2 more birthday parties. We went to the parks where he is faster, more agile and confident than ever on the play structures and on his bike. We went to the library, to the shops, to the language therapy classes, to the doctors. We splashed around in water fountains, where he gingerly stand at the edge, afraid to get himself wet. We pretended to be Harry Potter, riding in broomsticks in the garden. We fought with swords and guns and canons. We raced around the courtyard a la Mario Cart.
Those were the days of a beautiful summer, the first time that EggEgg was symptom free, the first time I was able to enjoy him since he was born. At last, EggEgg has shown his real personality that I only have had glimpses of. He is immensely funny, witty, loving and caring. Those qualities have finally shone after breaking out from the influence of allergies.
A brand new adventure awaits him.
