Egg Egg has been infatuated with the broom, the vacuum cleaner, and all household cleaning items lately. First thing in the morning, he'd put on his shoes and dash off to the garden to sweep the fallen leaves. The garden broom is double his size, but he does a thoroughly good job , brushing back and forth with ceaseless energy, focusing on the hidden leaves and dirt which needed attention. I'd be busy preparing breakfast while he occupies himself in the garden.
The other day I was having a nice sleep-in in the morning, not realising that he had quietly towed the dirty laundry basket down 2 flight of stairs into the laundry room. He'd even push himself a stool to get access to the washing machine, and was about to dump the dirty clothes into the washer when Tonton noticed him. Heehee...
The summer breeze this afternoon has caused me and Tonton to be very sleepy. We were both napping on the bed, while EggEgg unwound the electric cord from the vacuum cleaner and started vacuuming the bedroom. He pushes the vacuum handle to all the nooks and crannies of the room, and I could hear those satisfying "click click click" sound of particles being sucked up. Well, yes, I was annoyed with the noise of the cleaner disturbing our serene naps, yet could not bring myself to rebuke this little fella who is just trying to help around the house. So cute, so cute!
In the end, I couldn't stand the noise anymore, and moved into the other bedroom to continue my nap. EggEgg would then come into the room and check on me every 15 minutes or so, and plant a big kiss on my face to make sure Mami's still ok. Then off he goes happily downstairs to play again. And I know, I've only got another 15 minutes of nap time before he comes again to give me another hug and big kiss.
Awful afternoon nap! But I'm loving it.
