But, I was wrong. Love, it turns out, has no limit. (Patience does have a quota though!). Love multiplies itself with more children.
Time too, seemed to be multiplying. The children generate time to play and entertain each other. Time, often slipped away without a trace, is more precious because it is now scarce. I value each moment, each day, more than ever before.
The two boys have their own way of showing their love to the new baby Bobo too.
Cola is more direct and straightforward in showing his love for Bobo. He is verbal in declaring his love for the little baby. "Cola loves little brother ah!", he would often repeat every time he sees the little baby. "Baby Bobo, don't cry ah!", Cola would hold the baby's hand as he wailed inside the car.
On the day I returned home from the hospital, as soon as I stepped out of the car, Cola greeted me in the garage. "Mami! Where is little brother?"
"Little brother? Hmm... I don't know where he is." I pretended.
"Is little brother still at the hospital?" Cola was very concerned. I could see his relief when he discovered that Bobo is actually lying asleep inside the car.
The next day, Cola heard Bobo crying through the baby monitor. I was trying to hurry through the last portion of my meal before picking up the baby. Cola is very agitated and informed me, "Mami! Little brother is crying. "
"Yes I know..."
He became more agitated, "Mami!! Little brother is crying! Little bother is crying!" Clearly, he couldn't bear the thought of the little baby crying alone in bed, lonely and helpless.
So I went into the room to comfort the little one. " Now, don't cry, , baby.. Dont' cry, Mami's here." and behind me, a familiar voice added, "Cola is here!"
