"Why?" - Why are you asking me why?

In the afternoon, I drove past a high-school where the teenage students are gathering at the bus stop on their way home. Carrying backpack full of books and sport equipment, and some are swinging their lunch boxes on one hand. Chatting animatedly with their friends. They look so mature, I thought. "This is what EggEgg and Cola will look like in 10 years time. I'll be 40 something by then. Please, please don't grow up so quickly. I'll miss their fresh innocence in everyday life."

Later we picked up EggEgg from pre-school and as usual, we were stuck in a traffic jam.
"Mami, why is the car not moving?" "Because there's a red light in front."
"Why?" "Because."
"Why?" "I said already, because."
Then EggEgg threw a tantrum. "Listen to me, Mami. Listen! I am asking you why is the car not moving."

This is the hundredth time EggEgg asked this question on this very same stretch of road everytime. Argggggh! Am I obliged to answer it just one more time?

Maybe growing up is not a bad thing after all!
