Debut of the Pantry Raider

The garbage bin is full. As I tie up the bag to bring it out to the garden bin, I made a startling discovery. On the top of the garbage, there's fragments of the wrapping of my favourite FruitTips lolly... but wait! As I dug further, I found the wrapper for a strawberry candy, an empty box of blueberries, and the plastic box of chocolate cookies.

But, Tonton does not have a sweet tooth. There can be only one person who does this...
EggEgg the Pantry Raider has been here!

The inevitable has happened. EggEgg has finally learnt how to turn door knobs by standing on a stool. This spells the end of peaceful mornings, those good old days when we can snore while he plays quietly in the nursery until breakfast time.

Ever since he could open doors, mornings were never the same again. Yesterday I woke up finding EggEgg sleeping next to me. "When did he come in?", I wondered drowsily. Some days, I woke up with a firetruck siren crashing into the bedroom.

If the morning has been eerily quiet like today, that meant even more trouble. Pricking up my ears, I could barely make sense of those slightest sounds: crunch crunch ("That guy is stuffing himself with cookies again?"), kringle kringle ("Ah, Tonton has left the potato chips in the open last night!"), drizzle drizzle ("Oh no, he's trying to open the M&Ms jar").

That's it! We'll be locking up the pantry every night from now on!
