200 first words

We visited the Speech Therapist for a 6 month review on EggEgg's language development progress. On a word count questionnaire, as I ticked out each word that EggEgg could say, I realised that he has improved from being able to say just 8 words back in March, to 200+ words now. Wow, we are pretty pleased and relieved about EggEgg's rapid progress from being labeled as having "moderate speech delay" to just "borderline/mild speech delay"

Looking back, it had been loads of hard work trying to coax him into talking. Luckily our effort has not been wasted. This week, EggEgg can even string 3 word sentences well.

During breakfast when I told him to scrape his bowl clean, he told me,
哪哪唔識耙。媽咪幫。(EggEgg don't know how to scoop. Mami help.)

When he fights with Cola for toys, he'd wriggle his finger in baby's face and say, "No, baby, no!"

EggEgg no longer picks the easiest sound in a word. Back in June, he was calling Dorothy the Dinosaur, "Dor! Dor!" Today he was able to call her, "Dor-Bee-Bee!" How very cute.

Often he'd knows he's cute and tried to make us laugh more by blurb out a very Aussie sounding "I dun noh!" (I don't know). Tonton and I roar with laughter and sing this song for him:

莫再說 I don't know
