Mum... you're so old-fashioned

My mum's in her 60's now, and frequently uses words that are no longer in modern use. One day she was trying to tell her friend that we have employed a 司機 (chauffeur) at home. She said, "we have a 車夫 (rickshaw driver) you see." Her friend was puzzled as to why we are still riding a rickshaw.

And then the other day, she came home with a couple of new DVD movies she picked up from the shop. She happily announced over lunch that, "oh I've got some new cassettes, would you like to watch them together?"

Me and my sis used to tease her all the time: Oh mum, nobody uses those words anymore! However, come to think of it, I still call a notebook computer a "laptop". When will it be egg egg's turn to tease me about such stuff?
