Raisin-induced Speech Therapy

"Can you say 飲 (drink)?" EggEgg simply shake his head and ran away.

Why are the other kids just picking up words naturally, where as this guy just refuse to even try?

I am sick of EggEgg's incessant whining and tired of the grandparents constant nagging about how we should teach our children. So, in order to coax EggEgg into copying our words, I had to resort to cunning bribery. One raisin for a word copied. Say Ba-Ba, one raisin. Say Ga-Ga, one raisin.

At first it went well, but after gulping down 30 raisins or so, he's not so interested anymore. Jappy's Home-style Speech Therapy session is over for the day. Is it successful? Oh yeah.

After merely 2 sessions of this home brew Raisin-induced Speech Therapy, EggEgg's vocabulary has amazingly expanded from 5 words into 13! Statistically, that's double the volume!

3 days ago, he can only say: 爸爸, 媽媽, 哥哥, Nana, Bob
(Papa, Mama, brother, EggEgg, Bob)

Today he can say: 係, 2, 5, 8, 幭, 筆, 鞋, 遮, 下, 爺, 加, 貓, 謝謝
(Yes, 2, 5, 8, socks, pen, shoe, umbrella, down, grandpa, more, cat, thank you)

Thank you raisin! Thank you sultanas!
