Another school run morning. Inside the school bag, there's a lovingly prepared special lunch box for EggEgg because it's his birthday. Sushi roll, a car-shaped hard-boiled egg, and orange slices.
On the way, in the thick of the morning rush traffic, I started chatting with EggEgg.
"I think Cola likes to go to your school too."
"Huh? Cola likes to go to my school?"
"Yes, he's very excited whenever we walked inside to pick you up. He saw lots of toys, lots of other kids to play with, and lots of food. Can he attend your school too?"
"No! Cola cannot come!"
"Why?"
"Coz he's very small. He cannot draw a picture. If he cannot draw a picture, he cannot go to school."
"Hmmm...."
"Today it's your birthday, EggEgg. How old are you today?"
"Three! It will be my birthday tonight."
"Yes, we will celebrate your birthday tonight. We will cut the fruit salad cake, and sing birthday song."
"Sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!" (That's the only song that he could sing competently.)
"Errr...."
"Mami, where does that bus go?"
"I don't know."
"Mami always say 'I don't know, I don't know'. How come Mami always not know?""Errr...."
Welcome to the days of having a three-year-old.
